Ji Young Lim
Winning first prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2015 marked the steep growth of Ji Young Lim’s career as a violinist in the international field. She has performed with great orchestras, including the Brussels, Poznań, Luxembourg, and Seoul Philharmonics. She has also been invited to many famous festivals, such as the Hong Kong Arts Festival and Gstaad Menuhin Festival in Switzerland. Highlights of this season include concerts with the Royal Philharmonic conducted by Alexander Shelley, the NHK Symphony conducted by David Zinman, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Minas Gerais with Fábio Mechetti. She plays the 1708 Stradivarius “Huggins” on loan from the Nippon Music Foundation as part of the prize from the Queen Elisabeth Competition. She is currently studying with Nam Yun Kim at the Korea National University of Arts.
